Police investigating the disappearance of Claudia Lawrence have extended their search to Cyprus.
The 35-year-old chef was last seen leaving work at the University of York on March 18th and has not been heard of or seen since.
North Yorkshire police issued an update on the investigation into her disappearance today and confirmed officers had been sent to Cyprus to try and locate a man she is said to have known.
Police are continuing to examine the possibility Claudia was taken by someone she knew.
Speaking on the sixth month anniversary of her disappearance, Detective Superintendent Ray Galloway said the last text message she received was on the evening of March 18th from a number in Cyprus.
Claudia Lawrence's father is due to repeat witness appeals in a press conference at the Nag's Head pub in the area of York where she used to live later.
Written statements will also be provided from Claudia's father and her sister, Ali.
A new recorded mobile video appeal will be taken out onto the streets of York over the weekend along with a blue-tooth message.
Claudia's disappearance has prompted more than 1,200 calls to the police hotlines, a series of Crimewatch appeals and even pleas for information from the Archbishop of York.
