The Met Office has predicted more unsettled weather for the UK during the remainder of August.
A statement on its website today says that strong winds and heavy rain are set to batter the coasts of the English Channel in the coming days with gusts of up to 60 miles per hour predicted for today.
Chief forecaster Richard Young said: "Unfortunately, the poor summer weather shows no sign of letting up over the next few days. As well as more rain or showers, strong winds on Wednesday could make for difficult cross-channel journeys."
Heavy rain showers are forecast for parts of central and eastern Scotland in the coming days, with more than 30mm of rain expected by tomorrow morning.
Northern Ireland could also see more heavy rain through the week, with its eastern areas expected to be the wettest.
There appears to be no let off for the coming week either, with more cloud and rain pushing in from the Atlantic during the weekend.
