An earthquake has hit the Yunnan province in south-west China, state media has reported.
The quake has knocked down buildings and forced the evacuation of 1,200 people. There are currently no reports of any casualties.
The US Geological Survey claims the epicentre was 140 miles west of Dali, in Yunnan and 40 miles south east of Myitkyina in Burma.
The earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 5.3 and at a depth of 8.5km.
In May, at least 70,000 people were killed China's Sichuan province.
A strong earthquake rocked the region and nearby Gansu earlier this month, killing one person and injuring another 23.
