Police are appealing for information to trace a suspect who is believed to have targeted the same bank in three separate armed robberies.
A statement from Metropolitan police said the latest robbery was reported at 16:47 BST yesterday at the Lloyds TSB branch in Tottenham court road, Holborn.
Police said the suspect waited in a queue, approached the cashier, told her he had a gun in his bag and demanded she empty the till.
After the cashier had handed him the money, the suspect fled the scene.
The previous robberies at the branch were reported in November 2007 and March 2006.
It is believed the suspect lost a significant amount of weight between the robbery in November and the latest robbery on Monday.
During the two previous incidents the suspect followed the same routine as in the latest robbery.
The suspect is described as a white male of medium build, approx 5ft 9ins tall, 35 to 40-years-old, with short dark hair and angular features.
He was wearing a blue baseball cap, dark jacket, blue jeans and reading glasses with gold rims. Police say he spoke with what is described as a mid-American accent.
Anyone with any information relating to the robberies is asked to contact the Met on 0208 358 1751 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
