Hundreds of scientists are gathering for the seventh day of the British Association for the Advancement of Science's (BA) annual festival of science.
It's the largest festival of its kind and aims to bring the most exciting and important scientific research to the public.
As it is also the oldest festival of its kind - dating back 175 years - it has an illustrious history, including the coining of the term 'dinosaur' in 1842 and a famous debate between Wilberforce and Huxley in 1860.
Held at the University of East Anglia and various locations across the city of Norwich, members of the public can attend hands-on activities as well as controversial debates on some of the latest scientific challenges facing the planet.
Today's topics for discussion include steps that need to be taken to tackle allergies, stem cell science, plant diseases and child development.
Events are taking place at numerous locations, including a walk on an organic farm, a business innovation zone and behind the scenes glimpses of natural history collections at Norwich Castle.
