Oscar favourite Sandra Bullock was last night named the worst actress of the year for her 'performance' in All About Steve at the annual Golden Raspberry awards (Razzies).

The 45-year-old is the odds-on favourite for Academy award glory at the Kodak Theatre tonight after being nominated for The Blind Side, a role for which she has already won a Golden Globe.

But last night she turned up in person to collect the Razzie for worst actress. No one has ever won a Razzie and Oscar in the same year.

"Something tells me you all didn't watch the film because I wouldn't be here if you really, really watched it and understood what I was trying to say," she said after receiving a standing ovation from the crowd.

"Everyone gets a copy and this is the deal I'm going to make.

"I will show up next year if you promise to watch the movie and really consider if it was truly the worst performance. If you're willing to watch, I'll come back next year and give back the Razzie.

"Thank you for ruining my career with a very bad decision."
