St Helens mounted a stunning comeback to beat Warrington 26-14 at Knowsley Road.
Warrington, who led 8-0 at the break, looked on course for victory after tries from Mick Higham and Paul Rauhihi while Chris Hicks kicked three goals.
But the Saints mounted a sensational fightback in the second-half with Lee Gilmour touching down on 49 minutes.
Matthew Gidley then crossed over twice in 14 minutes to give last year's runners-up the lead.
Ade Gardner, James Graham, and then Tom Armstrong dived over in the closing stages to seal the rout.
Elsewhere, champions Leeds notched up their second successive win after seeing off Wakefield 18-4 at Headingley.
Ali Lauti'iti, Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Ian Kirke touched down for the Rhinos while Lee Smith booted over two goals. The Wildcats scored two penalties through Tony Martin.
Elsewhere, Hull have condemned Wigan to their second defeat of the season after an 18-10 win at the Kingston Communications Stadium.
The home side scored tries through Richard Horne, Lee Radford, Peter Cusack while Danny Tickle slotted over three penalties.
Wigan scored a try in each half from Phil Bailey and Pat Richards.
Meanwhile, Salford's game against Celtic Crusaders has been postponed until Saturday.
