Greg Rusedski has revealed that he may sit out Great Britain's next Davis Cup match against Israel in July.
Britain's number two has remained loyal to Team GB but could miss the next Europe/Africa Zone play-off match because it clashes with the RCA Championships in Indianapolis, which Rusedski won last year.
Should the 32-year-old, who played a respectable part in the recent Davis Cup defeat by Serbia and Montenegro, miss the Indianapolis event, he will certainly lose vital world ranking points.
He admits he still has not made up his mind but insists: "It is a big decision and I'll have to sit down and think about it."
The Canadian-born Briton also revealed that he had finally give up attempting to persuade Henman to return to the national team for future Davis Cup fixtures.
The big-serving player said: "I've asked Tim about six times to play Davis Cup again and I'm '0 for six', so I don't think I'm going to win that battle.
"He's got a family and two young children and he's slowing down his career. He's just happy where he is at the moment and you have to respect that."
New British number one Andy Murray is likely to be the only top 100 player in the team for Britain's battle to return to the highest echelon of Davis Cup tennis.
