Mercedes GP's new signing Nico Rosberg is thrilled that seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher will be making a comeback to formula one in 2010 as his team-mate.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Mercedes GP ended months of speculation by announcing a one-year deal with Schumacher, with an option of extending the contract for an additional two years after that.
Rosberg, who was confirmed as part of Mercedes 2010 driver line-up last month, said going up against Schumacher will be a great challenge for him.
"It is fantastic that Michael is returning to Formula 1 and will be my team-mate at Mercedes GP," said the German.
"It's a great challenge for me to be up against one of the best drivers of all time.
"I'm sure that we will form a very strong partnership as he will have lost none of his speed.
"It is also great news for our sport and the fans."
