Wayne Rooney has knocked back claims he felt let down by the FA's refusal to defend him when sent off in a pre-season friendly tournament against Porto.
"Wayne doesn't blame the FA for any aspect of his current game," said a spokesman for the Manchester United frontman.
"He is wholly committed to England. There's no rift whatsoever with the Football Association."
Despite the red card being handed out abroad, the FA upheld the ban suggested by their Dutch counterparts and the hot-headed striker sat out three of United's opening league games.
The issue apparently still rankled Rooney with comments published in the papers claiming he found the FA's stance "hard to take".
After netting twice in an opening-day 5-1 rout of Fulham the 20-year-old has lost the goal trail and turned in some indifferent performances.
In spite of his current form he is expected to start for England against Macedonia on Saturday having served an international ban for a separate dismissal against Portuguese opposition - a red card for a stamp on Ricardo Carvalho in the World Cup quarter final.
