Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted he will stay at Manchester United while manager Sir Alex Ferguson remains at the club.

Real Madrid have publicly stated they would like to sign the Portuguese winger this summer, after he scored 31 league goals to guide United to the Premier League title.

Ronaldo, who signed a five-year contract with United in April 2007, revealed earlier this week his dream is to play in Spain.

But the winger says he owes a debt to Ferguson, who signed him as an 18-year-old for £12 million from Sporting Lisbon.

"The boss is the reason I am here in the club. He helped me a lot, not just this season but the seasons before," Ronaldo said.

"I feel very good at the club. I want to carry on like that. I have many friends here in the club.

"I have been at the club five years and I know everyone now - the staff, the players - and I feel like this is my home."

The 23-year-old's sensational form has seen him voted the Professional Footballers' Association and the Football Writers' Association Player of the Year.

Ronaldo is hoping to add to his 41 goals in all competitions on Wednesday when United clash with Chelsea in the Champions League final in Moscow.
