Rock veterans the Rolling Stones have denied that they are to headline this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The Satisfaction band had been linked with a Pyramid Stage slot at the Somerset event, celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2010.
However, a statement issued on behalf of the Rolling Stones has quashed the rumours that Mick Jagger and co would be joining U2 as Glastonbury headliners this June.
"Following recent UK media speculation, the Rolling Stones would like to make it clear there are no plans at the moment for the band to tour in 2010," a spokesperson for the band told NME.com.
The denial of a Glastonbury slot came after the Stones confirmed a reissue release of their classic 1972 album Exile on Main Street in May.
U2 are to headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on June 25th while other bands linked with the festival include Muse and Radiohead.
Some 177,500 people are set to attend this year's Glastonbury, with tickets selling out in just 24 hours last month.
