Leeds have gone joint top of Super League after a 28-18 win over rivals Bradford at Headingley.

The Rhinos, who were leading 16-12 at the break, join St Helens on 36 points after a comfortable win while the Bulls stay in sixth spot.

It was the Bulls who drew first blood when Paul Sykes crashed over on seven minutes, with Iestyn Harris adding the extras.

The home side hit back with two tries in five minutes through Jordan Tansey and Luke Burgees on 20 minutes.

Nick Scruton then crossed the line for Leeds' third try on the half-hour mark, with skipper Kevin Sinfield kicking over his second goal.

James Evans kept Bradford in the game with a try four minutes before the break, with Harris kicking a goal, to reduce their deficit to four points at the break.

The Bulls made the brighter start to the second half and their possession was rewarded when Wayne Godwin touched down on 42 minutes, with Harris scoring his third goal.

Leeds dominated the remainder of the match and sealed victory in the final 20 minutes. First, Carl Ablett dived over in the corner on the hour mark to move them back into the lead.

Then Danny McGuire crashed over in the final minute for the world champions' 18th win of the season.
