In the midst of the 'bloodgate' scandal Harlequins face further scrutiny following George Robson's head-butt in the season opener against Wasps.
The lock saw red after just 46 seconds for a head-butt on Wasps' Joe Simpson during a game his side went on to lose 26-15.
Simpson told the BBC: "I am pretty sure he head-butted me. I was surprised by it and I wasn't expecting it at all.
"He tackled me after the ball. I was desperately trying to pull myself away and get to the next breakdown.
"I am frustrated and disappointed. It is not the spirit of rugby."
Harlequins have been making the headlines recently after being found guilty of cheating during their Heineken Cup quarter-final last season and Robson's conduct will have done little to improve their reputation.
Quins' Head Coach John Kingston will reserve judgment until he has seen a replay of the incident.
Kingston said: "We will look and see what the pictures show and reflect on it.
"George is upset. I spoke very briefly with him and he said sorry to me and wasn't quite sure how it all evolved."
Tony Hanks, Wasps director of rugby added: "I can honestly say I didn't see it but Joe Simpson's nose looks like there was a head-butt."
Robson now faces a lengthy ban.
Despite being at a disadvantage so early on Harlequins put up a good fight against their city rivals.
Tries from Ugo Monye and Gonzalo Camacho gave them a 15-11 lead before Wasps' advantage began to tell and they ran away with a comfortable victory.
