Queens Park Rangers chairman Gianni Paladini has promised to bring swift punishment against the club's players who were at the heart of a mass brawl that forced a friendly against China's under-23s to be abandoned.
After ugly scenes that included coaches and substitutes from both sides two of the touring players were left unconscious with one, Zheng Tao, later taken to hospital for treatment on a broken jaw.
"We will conduct our own internal investigation into this matter," Paladini said.
"We will go to work 24 hours a day to find out what happened. When we find out what went wrong we will act accordingly - I will come down very strong."
He also suggested that those highlighted by the club's enquiry could find themselves thrown out of the club by next week.
"If people cannot control themselves they should not be there, in that position, because sooner or later something like that is going to happen again," he added.
"I am sick about the whole thing, completely fed up. I hope we can find something out by Saturday."
The incident was similarly condemned by the visitors' coach Ratomir Dujkovic who described it has "unacceptable".
After angry exchanges marred China's other game on the tour against a Chelsea XI, there are now some doubts as to whether their final match against Brentford on February 16th will take place, with the FA awaiting a report from yesterday's official Dermot Gallagher.
