Portuguese right back Jose Bosingwa looks to be heading to Chelsea in the summer after Porto announced the clubs have agreed a fee.
Bosingwa has been a target for a number of top European sides after a series of solid performances for club and country this season.
And it seems the Blues have won the race to sign the 25-year-old after a statement on Porto's website revealed the two teams have agreed a transfer fee of 20.5 million euros (£16.1 million).
"Porto wish to confirm they have arrived at an agreement with Chelsea for the sale of the player Jose Bosingwa for the price of 20.5 million euros (£16.1 million)," the statement reads.
"The transfer agreement will be legalised as soon as the player has agreed terms and undergone a medical examination [at Chelsea] and the international transfer window is reopened.
"This will happen with the full agreement of SC Porto."
Chelsea have since also confirmed the move, through a similar brief statement.
"Chelsea Football Club can confirm we have reached agreement with FC Porto for the transfer of Jose Bosingwa," the announcement states.
"The player is now in England to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical."
Bosingwa began his career as a midfielder but was converted to a right back when Paulo Ferreira left the club to join up with former manager Jose Mourinho at Chelsea in 2004.
The arrival of Bosingwa is likely to threaten Ferreira's future at Stamford Bridge after he spent most of this season as a substitute or playing in the reserves.
