Man in court over "horrific" murder of French students

Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez were murdered in June
A man is due in court today charged with the murder of two French students in south London.
The bodies of Laurent Bonomo, 23, and Gabriel Ferez, 23, were found in a burned out block of flats in Sterling Gardens, New Cross, in June.
Afterwards, the Metropolitan police said the biochemistry exchange students had suffered a "frenzied, brutal" attack, with Laurent being stabbed 200 times and Gabriel receiving 50 knife wounds.
Nigel Farmer, 33, has been charged with murder and perverting the course of justice and is due to appear in court later on Thursday.
Daniel Sonnex, 23, has been charged with the same offences and is due to appear next week.
