Harry Redknapp continued to weave his magic at Tottenham as his side came from behind to beat league leaders Liverpool 2-1 this evening.
Spurs trailed to an early Dirk Kuyt goal for much of the game and it looked as if Redknapp was heading towards his first defeat as manager of the White Hart Lane outfit.
But the home side once again showed their new-found fighting spirit under Redknapp and after Wednesday night's pulsating 4-4 draw at Arsenal, Tottenham earned an even better result today as they first got back on level terms through a Jamie Carragher own-goal and then Roman Pavlyuchenko grabbed all three points with an injury-time winner.
The defeat was harsh on Liverpool who hit the bar and the post through captain Steven Gerrard and also saw Darren Bent slice an attempted clearance against his own post.
Former Spurs captain Robbie Keane was instrumental in Liverpool's goal as he turned away from Ledley King and laid the ball on to Kuyt, who thumped the ball into the top corner to give his side the lead inside the first three minutes.
Things could have got worse for Tottenham had Bent's attempt to clear a Gerrard corner not come back off the post.
Liverpool kept hold of the ball well in the first-half without creating any real clear-cut chances. The closest Tottenham came to scoring was when Luka Modric had a volley from the edge of the box well saved by Pepe Reina.
Gerrard was inches away from extending Liverpool's lead in the second-half as he saw his volley diverted on to the post by a diving Heurelho Gomes. The Brazilian keeper then almost gifted Liverpool a goal as his pass was short of King and Gerrard pounced, but his shot came back off the bar.
