Glasgow Warriors fly-half Dan Parks has been recalled to the 30-man Scotland squad for this year's Six Nations championship.

Fellow stand-off Ruaridh Jackson is also named in the squad with another debutant, lock Richie Gray, joining him in the line-up.

Parks, who is moving to Sale Sharks in the summer, is recalled after being dropped for the autumn internationals.

The roster also includes Gloucester prop Alasdair Dickinson and Edinburgh lock Jim Hamilton, who both missed the Test against Argentina, Australia and Fiji.

Scotland head coach Andy Robinson said: "Dan has been playing well and it's an asset for us to have someone of his ability in the squad.

"Richie Gray has worked hard to win a place in the squad and has applied himself consistently when playing for Glasgow, and we were also pleased to see Ruaridh back in action there."

The squad will begin a four-day training camp next week in preparation for the opening match of the tournament against France on February 7th at Murrayfield, with a trip to the Millennium Stadium to follow six days later.

Top-rated scrum-half Mike Blair, who has been struggling with an ankle injury of late, has been invited to train with the squad at the camp in St Andrews along with Edinburgh team-mates Ross Rennie and Jim Thompson, and Glasgow Warriors prop Jon Welsh.

Robinson also confirmed that Toulon full-back Rory Lamont could also join the squad ahead of the France game, provided he can prove his fitness at club level next week.
