Graeme Dott came back from 5-3 down to level at 8-8 with Ronnie O'Sullivan in a thrilling semi-final of snooker's World Championship at the Crucible.
Dott resumed today's session 5-3 behind the world number one and won the first three frames to edge ahead.
O'Sullivan then won the next two, before Dott's 66 break brought things level at 7-7.
The two-time world champion responded with a classy break of 124 but a 74 from Dott in the day's final frame ensured the pair go into tomorrow's session level.
O'Sullivan had chances to win all four frames before the mid-session interval but could not find any rhythm as Dott took the first three frames.
The Scot came back from a big deficit to win the first, took the second with a 68 and went on to take the third 72-23.
O'Sullivan is said to have used as many as 20 different tips at the Crucible since the tournament began, which has surely been a factor in some of his poor play.
In the later match, Peter Ebdon is leading Marco Fu 13-8.
The Englishman has hit two century breaks today and looks set to deny Hong Kong player Fu from becoming the first Asian player to reach the final at the Crucible.
Former champion Ebdon also hit a 93 in a fine performance of controlled snooker.
