Northampton got their European Challenge Cup campaign off to the perfect start with a 56-3 destruction of an under-strength Toulon at the Stade Felix Mayol.
Toulon took an early lead through a Sebastien Fauque penalty, but after that it was all one-way traffic as Northampton ran riot running in seven tries in total and securing a bonus point in the process.
Sean Lamont, Joe Ansbro and Paul Diggin all scored in the first-half as the Saints entered the interval 30-3.
Toulon's lack of discipline was getting the better of them and they gave away eight penalties in the first-half alone.
The second wasn't much better and Chris Ashton, Ben Foden, Ansbro and Lee Dickson all crossed in the second half to give the away side a more comprehensive victory than they could have dreamt of.
The winner of the Challenge Cup, European rugby's second-tier competition, win a place in next season's Heineken Cup.
