The Football Association (FA) has decided not take any action against Arsenal pair Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner.
Adebayor and Bendtner almost came to blows in the disappointing 5-1 Carling Cup loss to bitter rivals Tottenham on Tuesday night. Referee Howard Webb said he did not see what happened, but the FA still investigated the incident.
The body will not punish either player but will write to them to remind them of the way they should be behaving.
Adebayor, who looked to have stuck his head into the face of Bendtner, apologised for his actions explaining "we are both passionate about this club, but it was a mistake. I am sorry".
But his words seem to have failed to have any impact on Bendtner's father who is still unhappy with what the Togo international did.
"It's a shame that a player like Adebayor walks out on the pitch without a brain, that he leaves it at home," said Bendtner's father.
"It's not the first time he's done that. It's obvious that Adebayor has to defend himself, but the television pictures tell you what happened.
"This episode is not fortunate, but I'm sure Arsenal will sort this out. We'll wait and see."
The Arsenal strikers will have to sort out their differences quickly as they could be paired together in the FA Cup tie against Newcastle at the weekend.
