Internet users in Birmingham are more likely to search for pornography than dwellers in any other British city, according to Google.
The Google Trends survey, which collated "best guess" data on porn searches from IP address information from around the planet, handed England's second biggest city the unwelcome mantle.
Birmingham was followed by Manchester.
Web surfers in the two English cities were preceded by counterparts in Australian urban centres Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.
Brentford in Middlesex came in seventh. In terms of countries, South Africa topped the list, followed by New Zealand and Australia.
The UK came fourth followed by Canada, India and the US.
The volume of "porn" searches has been increasing since early 2004, hitting an all-time high at the end of 2005, according to Google.
