Newcastle players have 'winning mentality'

Newcastle United front men Shola Ameobi and Marlon Harewood have explained that manager Chris Hughton as introduced a 'winning mentality' at the club.
The forward pairing who both scored in today's 2-0 derby win over Middlesbrough praised the efforts of Hughton as Newcastle manager.
Harewood said: "We needed stability and fair play to Chris and the rest of the coaching staff they've not only giving us stability but giving us a winning mentality.
"There is a great feeling around the place now and it is a great time to be a Newcastle player right now," added Harewood.
Ameobi, who's push on Middlesbrough defender Emmanuel Pogatez which was not given, assisted Harewood's goal and the Nigerian striker admitted there may have been a 'slight push'.
He said: "During the whole game there was a battle between the central defenders and ourselves. There might have been a slight push but nothing major and fortunately the ball dropped for Marlon to put in."
Harewood also added how important the win was for the Championship leaders, he said: "It's a good win for us, we've got a Christmas period coming up that is going to be very busy."
