Karen Gillan, the new sidekick in the forthcoming episodes of Doctor Who, says incoming doctor Matt Smith will be quickly loved by fans.
The BBC show returns at Easter with Smith taking over from David Tennant as the Time Lord and Gillan starring as his companion Amy Pond.
"What Matt's done is something completely incredible", she told the BBC. "He's completely made the part his own and I think people really are going to fall in love with his Doctor."
Gillan, 22, admitted to feeling "completely nervous" about her debut Doctor Who episode being aired but said the programme's production team were "really proud" of the new instalments.
Though she could not confirm how the Doctor meets his new assistant, Gillan stressed Amy is a "very sassy young lady".
"She's not completely in awe of the Doctor all the time, there's none of that," she added. "She doesn't take his word as gospel."
