Andy Murray is confident he will be fit to play in the final of the ABN AMRO World Tournament in Rotterdam tomorrow.
The British number one was in scintillating form in the semi-finals today as he crushed Mario Ancic 6-1 6-2. But he started to slightly limp midway through the second set as he looked to have injured his ankle.
Murray admitted after the match that his ankle had given him problems after the victory over Marc Gicquel in the quarter-finals yesterday and might need to see a physio if the pain fails to clear up.
"I know that I felt it (pain in the ankle) about 20 minutes after my match yesterday. I've iced it and it feels OK now," said Murray. "If it's the same later, I guess I'll be fine. But if not, then I'll have to speak to the physio."
Murray completely outclassed Anic and broke the big-serving Croat five times. The Scot felt he got a little "lucky" today as Anic wasn't at his best form.
"I got lucky today. I was playing great and Mario was not on his best game," said Murray. "I was hitting the ball well and made very few mistakes. I returned very well and considering my condition, I played a very good match."
Should Murray be declared fit, he will face either face world number one Rafael Nadal or Frenchman Gael Monfils in the final.
