Everton manager David Moyes was delighted after his patched up Everton side beat BATE 2-1 in Minsk.
The Toffees were without a number of key players through suspension and injury and were forced to play Dan Gosling at right-back as Joseph Yobo pulled out late on with a thigh injury.
Despite going 1-0 down to Dmitri Likhtarovich's 35-yard strike, Moyes' team dug deep and goals from Marouane Fellaini and Tim Cahill secured an impressive away win.
Speaking after the game, Moyes said: "It was a really pleasing result considering the number of players who were not available.
"It was a resilient performance, which in the end allowed us to get the win. It's always nice to win away in Europe and this was an important victory."
The win maintains Everton's 100 per cent record in this season's Uefa Europa League group one and puts them in a strong position to qualify for the competitions knockout stages.
"We were hoping to take points early in the campaign and now we're in a good position. We want to stay there and keep progressing in this competition," added Moyes.
