The mother of the suspect in the murder of a young mother and her baby daughter has urged her son to come forward and turn himself in to police.
Anthony Marsh, 21, has been missing since the bodies of Stephanie Bellinger, 24, and her eight-month-old daughter Lily were found on Saturday near Southampton.
The cause of Ms Bellinger and her daughter's deaths have not yet been confirmed, with a post-mortem due to be carried out on Sunday.
Police had earlier described Mr Marsh as a "murder suspect" and said detectives wanted to speak to him as a "matter of urgency".
A statement from Mr Marsh's mother Wendy issued on Sunday afternoon and read by a family liaison officer said: "If you are watching or read or hear this, please understand that all your family are concerned about you.
"They are here to support you in any way they can. It is pointless to run away or hide.
"Whatever has happened, you must now hand youself in to the police or phone them and tell you where you are.
"Please Anthony, for the sake of all the family."
According to Hampshire police, Mr Marsh has had no contact with family or friends since the two bodies were discovered on Saturday.
Mr Marsh is a "dangerous" man who "should not be approached", a spokesman added, and said the 21-year-old is known to travel by rail and either sleeps rough or in churches.
"If anyone has seen him or someone matching his description they should not approach him but phone the police immediately by dialling 999," the police spokesman added.
Mr Marsh is described as white, 6ft 2in, with short fair hair, brown eyes, of slim build and has a tattoo on his left forearm.
Det Supt Jason Hogg, leading the inquiry, urged Mr Marsh "to seriously consider handing himself in to the nearest police station".
