Wales' try-scoring winger Mark Jones looks set to be ruled out of next Saturday's Six Nations clash with France through injury.
Jones has scored in the last two tests, but is now struggling with a swollen knee in yet another hammer blow for the Welsh.
He suffered the knee injury during the first half of the draw against Italy on Saturday but played on and is now set to join Dwayne Peel on the sidelines.
Scrum-half Peel is definitely out of the final game of this season's campaign at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and is expected to be out for at least four weeks through a shoulder injury. Mike Phillips is expected to deputise.
Caretaker coach Scott Johnson has said that there will not be wholesale changes despite last season's grand slam champions struggling this year.
Peel and Jones join Gareth Cooper, Gareth Thomas, Tom Shanklin, Brent Cockbain, Kevin Morgan, Iestyn Thomas, Ryan Jones and Chris Horsman on the treatment table as injuries have decimated the squad.
Physio Mark Davies blamed the punishing schedule for the amount of injuries the Welsh have suffered.
"If you look at the boys who have picked up injuries for Wales, many of them came through our grand slam-winning season," he said.
"They then went straight on to a tough Lions tour and subsequently that workload has simply taken its toll," he explained.
