Police are urgently trying to contact two youths in connection with the murder of a teenage boy in east London last night.
Adam Regis, 15, from Plaistow, was seen falling to the ground between Boundary Road and Kingsland Road, close to West Ham United's football stadium, at 21:30 GMT last night.
He was taken to nearby Newham general hospital to be treated for a stab wound to the leg and other injuries, but died about 90 minutes later.
"Two black males wearing grey hoodies were seen running up Kingsland Road and we would urgently ask them to come forward or for anyone else with information about them to contact us as soon as possible," said Metropolitan police Detective Chief Inspector Ian Stevenson.
"The investigation is at a very early stage and we are keeping an open mind as to motive at this stage.
"There is a possibility the victim got off a bus close to where he was found and we are appealing for anyone who saw him - he is very tall and quite distinctive - to come forward that can be of assistance to us.
"We are also making enquiries to establish whether anything happened earlier in the evening between the victim and potential suspects that may have led to him being attacked," the detective chief inspector went on to say.
Officers are currently examining CCTV footage from number 104 and 376 buses, with both routes passing close to where the Adam was found.
"The victim's family are absolutely devastated and our thoughts are with them at this time. It's Mother's Day today and I can't imagine what his mum must be going through. It's absolutely dreadful," DCI Stevenson added.
Last week 16-year-old Kodjo Yenga, who was also black, was killed in Hammersmith on the other side of the capital. Four youths have been charged with his murder.
