Felipe Massa's one-day test of a 2008-spec Ferrari at the Catalunya circuit in Barcelona was a success, according to the Brazilian.
Valentino Rossi kicked things off in Barcelona, carrying out a two-day test of the championship winning F2008, as a reward for winning his sixth MotoGP title in 2009.
The motorbike racing legend then handed the car over to Massa, who will return to the cockpit in 2010 after six months of recuperation from the horrendous accident that occurred during qualifying for last year's Hungarian grand prix.
Massa took advantage of perfect weather conditions to clock up over 400 kilometres in the car, gaining more and more confidence as he went.
"It was a perfect way to optimise my form here in Barcelona," said Massa.
"I'm really happy that I had this new opportunity to get behind the wheel of a F1 single-seater on a race track. I can't wait to sit in the new car and get stuck in."
Ferrari are set to launch their 2010-spec car on January 30th at their Maranello headquarters and will be in attendance at the opening winter test of the year in Valencia, which is scheduled to begin on February 1st.
