The aerodynamic engineering firm Aerolab has confirmed a new partnership with the Lotus formula one team.
The deal will help the new Norfolk-based, Malaysian-backed team design and develop its 2010 contender.
The aerodynamic firm has worked in F1 with Renault, Toyota and most recently Force India and, Aerlab managing director Jean-Claude Migeot said he is enthusiastic about the partnership.
"We are very enthusiastic about the new partnership between ourselves and Lotus F1 Racing," said Migeot.
"I am also confident in the potential of our team as well as the future synergy between Lotus F1 Racing, Fondtech and Aerolab."
Lotus technical chief Mike Gascoyne said: "It's great to be working alongside Jean-Claude and his staff again.
"The teams I've been involved with before unquestionably benefited from Aerolab's resources and know-how so it was an easy decision on my part to renew that relationship when it came to Lotus F1 Racing.
"Together, I'm hopeful of producing a competitive package that will compare favourably against the established order in 2010."
This news comes after Aerlab was accused by Force India of sharing technical data with Lotus, when the Silverstone-based team became concerned over similarities between their old car and Lotus' windtunnel model.
