Oasis have announced new dates at Wembley Stadium and Manchester's Heaton Park after their previously announced shows sold out.

Tickets for the Manchester shows sold out within hours of going on sale this morning, shortly followed by the 2009 Wembley shows.

And though the June and July tour was only announced last week, it has grown in size today (Friday October 24th) with an extra show announced at Heaton Park for Thursday June 4th.

The Gallagher brothers, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and new drummer Chris Sharrock will also grace the Wembley turf on Thursday July 9th, two days before their now sold-out back-to-back shows.

Oasis will be supported on their 2009 stadium tour by Kasabian and the Enemy.

Speaking at a press conference at Wembley Stadium hours before the band's sold-out gig at the neighbouring arena last week, Noel Gallagher predicted the 2009 shows would be "the gigs of the next year, if not the decade".

"What a night out," he added. "I'm glad I'll be able to get a ticket!"

A very limited number of tickets are available for the remaining shows and fans are urged to book quickly to avoid disappointment.

Oasis' 2009 stadium shows will take place at:June

4th, 6th and 7th - Manchester, Heaton Park
10th - Sunderland, Stadium of Light
12th - Cardiff, Millennium Stadium
17th - Edinburgh, Murrayfield
20th - Dublin, Slane Castle

July

9th, 11th and 12th - London, Wembley Stadium
