Celebrity Love Island lovebirds Lee Sharpe and Abi Titmuss were temporarily reunited yesterday, when the former football star became the first person to break out of the Love Shack.
Abi jumped into his arms during his brief return to the main resort, to the delight of fellow Love Islanders.
A clearly bored Lee, who only had himself for company after Love Shack partner Nikki Ziering had gone to bed, shouted "I'm on my own!" as he made his break for the resort - only to be escorted back to the shack by security shortly afterwards.
Earlier, Lee had expressed disappointment at being sent to the Love Shack with playboy pin-up Nikki instead of Abi.
"I thought the chances are I was going to end up with Abi," he said. "We have a really good laugh and I thought we'd have a couple of good days in there. I was shocked and stunned and a little bit gutted."
Abi was equally disappointed: "I don't want Nikki and Lee to hit it off. I will be disappointed if they do. And I'm going to miss Sharpster."
She added: "It would have been nice just the pair of us, it would have been cool. We get on well, I would like a bit of time just the two of us."
And fellow islanders Fran and Calum were full of sympathy.
"Poor Sharpster. I was feeling for him when they said 'Nikki'. His mouth just dropped. What a scenario," said Calum.
Fran agreed: "No one deserves that."
Paul Danan, who has forgotten his 'love' for Isabella since Nikki's arrival, didn't hide his disappointment at the public's vote.
"I'm gutted. The public got what they wanted. I trust Lee. I don't think he's going to do anything."
But Paul was in for even more of a shock later that day when he was despatched to a desert island for a few days with Isabella.
And the pair didn't exactly hit it off as they made their way to their new home. "I would never want to be with a guy like you," said Isabella, firing the first shots. "You are in love with yourself. Everybody on that island thinks you are a total t**ser because of what you have done to me."
Paul fired back: "We are just mates and you can't accept it. You are just jealous."
The comments he made to Isabella last week, including "obviously you're not feeling what I'm feeling", clearly left his memory a long time ago.
