Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has won his appeal against the red card shown to him by referee Mike Riley during the defeat by Liverpool on Sunday.
Lampard was dismissed for a foul on Reds counterpart Xabi Alonso early in the second half of the game at Anfield.
Chelsea's players protested vehemently against the decision, with captain John Terry receiving a yellow card for dissent.
But after lodging an appeal with the Football Association yesterday, the Blues have successfully had Lampard's impending three-match ban overturned.
In a statement today, the FA said: "At an independent regulatory commission hearing today, a claim for wrongful dismissal from Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard was upheld.
"As a result, Lampard's three-match suspension has been withdrawn.
"Lampard was shown a red card for serious foul play during Sunday's Premier League match against Liverpool."
The home side went on to the win the game 2-0, courtesy of a double strike from Fernando Torres in the final few minutes - keeping alive their Premier League title ambitions.
