Frank Lampard has warned the rest of the Premiership that his Chelsea side will only get better following their hard fought 2-1 win over Burnley this evening.
Lampard was speaking after being part of Chelsea side who grabbed three points through goals by Nicolas Anelka and John Terry. Steven Fletcher had scored for Burnley.
Lampard was impressed by the Chelsea performance considering they were without key personnel retuning from the African Nations Cup. Lampard was under the belief that with the return of players like Didier Drogba and Michael Essien, Chelsea could only get stronger in the coming weeks.
"We knew it would be a difficult place to come but I think we deserved the win tonight, it was important to win with the big game coming up tomorrow," Lampard commented.
"It's not bad when we can bring back the quality of Drogba and Kalou for Tuesday. It's a testament to the squad, they are two great players and we will be even stronger."
