Chelsea scored twice in the last two minutes to beat Stoke City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
The visitors looked to be heading for a shock win after Rory Delap lifted the ball over Petr Cech on the hour mark.
But the Blues equalised on 88 minutes when Juliano Belletti headed in to the relief boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.
And Stamford Bridge erupted in stoppage time when Frank Lampard's deflected strike flew in on his 400th appearance for the club to snatch victory.
Elsewhere, ten-man Manchester City defeated Wigan Athletic 1-0 at Eastlands.
Despite having Richard Dunne dismissed in the second-half for kicking out at Amr Zaki, City sealed victory thanks to Pablo Zabaleta's strike.
But the Latics will be wondering how they failed to come away with a point when Zaki headed wide when presented with an open goal after keeper Joe Hart was lying injured.
Elsewhere, ten-man Aston Villa came from behind to beat Sunderland 2-1 at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats led through Danny Collins' early header before James Milner's controversial equaliser with the hosts claiming the ball went in off his hand.
