Amir Khan has warned his rivals that he is desperate to get his career back on track after suffering a brutal knockout in his last fight.
The 21-year-old was the darling of British boxing fans and seemed on course to become a world champion. But those dreams were shattered when he suffered a first round knockout at the hands of unknown Colombian Briedis Prescott.
Khan admitted he now feels a target for fighters who think he has lost his edge and can beat the Briton to make a name for themselves. But Khan, who returns to the ring against Oisin Fagan on December 6, was confident he would prove his doubters wrong.
"There's been so many fighters that want to fight me knowing I've just been beaten - they think I'm not going to be the same fighter again," Khan told Sky Sports.
"But I think this is the worst time to fight me, because I'm going to be a lot stronger than the last fight. And a lot wiser."
Khan has been training under the great Freddie Roach in America for the fight against Fagan and the Bolton boxer felt he had become a much better boxer under the guidance of one of the best coaches in the world.
"It's been good getting away from home, being focused without any distractions. Here I walk into the gym, do my training, go home. I just eat and sleep boxing," added Khan.
"I've dealt with my defeat the hard way by working hard. I've seen my mistakes not to rush in and learnt how to take shots on the gloves. I've learnt so much these past five weeks from Freddie and the team. "
