Arsenal have suffered a triple injury blow with captain William Gallas, Bacary Sagna, and Nicklas Bendtner all ruled out for the next two games.

The trio suffered injuries while playing for their countries. Gallas (hamstring) and Sagna (knee) both picked up injuries playing for France, while striker Nicklas Bendtner picked up an ankle injury representing Denmark. They will now miss the league game against Everton and the Champions League fixture away at Fenerbahce.

The Arsenal injury problems don't end there as Cesc Fabregas broke his nose playing for Spain, Swiss defender Johan Djourou suffered a concussion and Robin van Persie has a muscle problem. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful all three will play some part in the game against Everton on Saturday.

"Unfortunately we have lost some players over the 10 days. These are heavy losses and we have to compensate them. Fortunately the three of them don't look to be out for a long, long time but they will be out for the weekend game and I think the game on Tuesday.

"Djourou will be assessed tomorrow to see if he is available. He does not look too bad and he could have a good chance to play. I am still waiting for Robin to come back (after international duty) so I don't know about him. However, he should be okay.

"Cesc has a broken nose. It should not stop him playing. He is here now (at the training ground) and is being assessed."

Wenger has confirmed that Abou Diaby will be back in the squad as a result of the injury problems. The Frenchman has been a long-term absentee with a thigh injury.
