England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson played down his match-winning performance in this afternoon's Calcutta Cup clash with Scotland, saying that it was enough just to pull on the number ten jersey again.
Wilkinson scored 27 of England's points in a 42-20 win despite having only a little over a half of Premiership rugby under his belt.
"It was just good to get back on the field, and feel the whole atmosphere. It is what I live a lot of my life for," he told BBC Sport.
"You earn your place and I was worried after being selected. But I just wanted to do a job and help the team win."
In the day's other Six Nations match, France were in ruthless mood as they cut down Italy 39-3.
It was another of the Premiership's stars to the fore for Les Bleus as Sale number eight Sebastien Chabal scored two of his team's five tries to assert his right to a place in Bernard Laporte's side.
"It is a really good start to the tournament for us. We know it is never easy in Italy but I think we started well - we had a really good first half," he said.
"I was a bit tired after 60 minutes but it is good to play games like that. I think it is my first good performance for the French team so I am quite happy."
