Michael Jackson's father will not inherit any of his son's assets after a judge ruled the singer's wishes must be respected.
Joe Jackson, 80, had gone to court to contest his own son's will in which he left his entire estate to his mother Katherine, his three children and various charities.
But Judge Mitchell Beckloff in Los Angeles' superior court, threw the case out.
"I don't think he gets to step into this and create further litigation," he said.
"Joe Jackson takes none of this estate. This is a decision his son made."
But Joe Jackson's requests for a monthly allowance from the estate have yet to be answered. He is due to return to court on December 10th to hear the outcome of his case.
It has also been revealed that Michael Jackson's family spent $1 million on the King of Pop's funeral in September.
He died aged 50 on June 25th on the eve of a series of comeback concerts at London's O2 Arena.
