Three suicide bombings hit south-east Afghanistan

The south-eastern Afghan city of Khost has been hit by three separate suicide bomb attacks, it has been reported.
Taliban militants attacked government buildings armed with explosives, rocket-propelled grenades and AK-47 rifles, according to the Associated Press news agency.
Heavy gunfire and explosions were heard near the main police station in Khost, a local bank branch and the attorney general's office following the attack which began in the early afternoon.
Officials have not yet been able to determine the extent of casualties following the blasts.
