Police have admitted they may be investigating Austria's worst-ever crime
Police have released pictures of a cellar in the town of Amstetten, Austria, that was one woman's prison for 24 years.


Josef FritzlElisabeth Fritzl was released by her father Josef this weekend after being held captive since 1984.

According to detectives, Mr Fritzl, 73, has admitted to imprisoning his daughter and repeatedly raping her.

He has reportedly confessed to fathering seven children with Elisabeth, now 42, and throwing the body of her baby into a furnace after it died days after being born.

DNA tests are expected to confirm his confession later this week, while he is expected to be charged in the coming days.
