The daughter of Josef Fritzl, the Austrian man who imprisoned members of his family in an underground dungeon for over 20 years, has regained consciousness in hospital.
Kerstin Fritzl, 19, is the oldest of seven children Mr Fritzl fathered with his own daughter Elisabeth while she was held captive for 24 years.
It was Kerstin's initial hospitalisation on April 19th which alerted the authorities to the incest scandal.
Austrian doctors claim the 19-year-old still requires intensive medical care but refused to comment on whether she had been reunited with members of her family.
A spokesman did confirm, however, that more details on Kerstin's condition would be released on Wednesday.
Mr Fritzl, 73, remains in police custody but has yet to face any charges relating to the alleged imprisonment and sexual abuse.
Media reports claim his children may be given new identities once they finish receiving medical and psychiatric care and may also consider relocating abroad.
