A series of explosions in a busy shopping district in the Indian capital Delhi have killed 18 people and injured scores more, local reports suggest.
Several central and southern Asian news agencies are reporting that five blasts of varying severity have ripped through the Connaught Place sector of the city.
Around 80 people have been reported injured following the explosions, although police suspect numbers of casualties could have been worse had they not uncovered two unexploded bombs near the same site.
A group calling themselves the "Indian Mujahideen" has claimed responsibility for the bombings after sending a warning via email shortly before the blasts.
The attack has been condemned by several high-ranking Indian officials, and backed up by the government in neighbouring Pakistan.
Today's strike is the latest in a worrying string of attacks over the last two or three years, with more than 400 people in total being killed by terrorist acts in India.
