Julio Cruz's 86th minute goal helped Inter Milan come from two goals down to draw 2-2 away to Ajax in the Champions League.
The Dutch side had marched into a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes thanks to goals from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Mauro Rosales.
First, Huntelaar headed home the opener on 16 minutes to give Ajax the lead before Rosales' weak shot somehow found its way past Francesco Toldo in the Inter goal four minutes later.
Inter regrouped at half-time and pulled one back four minutes into the second-half as Dejan Stankovic's shot was deflected past Maarten Stekelenburg in the Ajax goal.
It looked as if Danny Blind's side were going to take a one goal lead to the San Siro in two weeks time but Cruz popped up with four minutes to go to score a goal which Inter's efforts on the night deserved.
In the other last 16 game, Italian champions Juventus went down 3-2 away to Werder Bremen.
The home side started brightly and Christian Schulz gave them the lead six minutes before the break.
Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved equalised with 16 minutes to go before a frantic last eight minutes swung the tie in Bremen's favour.
First, French striker David Trezeguet headed home from close range to give Juve the lead before Tim Borowski levelled with just three minutes to go.
Then in injury-time, French winger Johan Micoud headed home the winner for the German side to give them the advantage.
