Inter Milan have claimed the final spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after beating Ajax 1-0 on the night to claim a 3-2 victory on aggregate.
The Italian side will now meet Villarreal in the last eight after Dejan Stankovic's second-half goal separated the sides in the San Siro.
After coming back from 2-0 down in the first leg, Inter looked to have the upper hand going into the tie, especially as they were playing in front of their own fans for the first time in this season's competition.
Inter had been forced to play their first three home games behind closed doors after hooligans forced the abandonment of the Milan derby in last season's competition.
The fans were given something to cheer about early on as Obafemi Martins' long-range effort smashed against the bar on 12 minutes.
Inter were then awarded a penalty on 25 minutes when Olaf Lindenbergh handed Stankovic's cross but Brazilian striker Adriano stepped up and rolled the ball wide.
Inter kept pressing and were rewarded on 57 minutes as Stankovic smashed the ball into the top corner from 25 yards after cutting in from the left-wing.
Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg then made a smart save from Adriano but the away side rarely threatened and Inter cruised through.
