Paul Ince has returned to Milton Keynes Dons for his second spell as manager.
The former England skipper is back in charge of the League One club, seven months after he was sacked as boss of Blackburn Rovers.
Ince has signed a two-year deal with the club, and he will be hoping to repeat the success of his previous spell where he led them to the League Two title and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
The 41-year-old will replace Roberto Di Matteo, who left to join Championship side West Bromwich Albion earlier this week.
Ince will be looking to guide the MK Dons into the Championship after they lost in the semi-finals of the play-offs last season.
Chairman Pete Winkelman said he was thrilled to bring back the former Manchester United midfielder to the club.
"He enjoyed incredible success during his first spell with us and showed himself more than worthy of a shot at the Premier League," he told the club's official website.
"But we always felt he had unfinished business here and it feels absolutely right that he should return to the club and build on the very momentum he helped to create."
Ince moved to Blackburn last summer where he experienced a nightmare six months in charge.
He was sacked after winning just six games with the club lying in the relegation zone, and was replaced by Sam Allardyce who guided Rovers to safety.
