Police have said that they believe a 50-year-old man killed his wife and daughter before setting the family's Shropshire house on fire.

At a press conference this afternoon, West Mercia police said it appeared Christopher Foster killed his wife Jill, 49, and their daughter Kirstie, 15, last week before setting Osbaston House, in Maesbrook, alight.

It is understood that the millionaire then took his own life.
