A century from veteran Graeme Hick gave Worcestershire a thrilling five-run win over Northamptonshire in the Twenty20 Cup.
The former England batsman made 110 off just 49 balls with ten boundaries and a whopping eight sixes.
Skipper Vikram Solanki made 58 as Worcestershire made a mammoth 227-6 in their 20 overs.
South African Lance Klusener led the fightback with an unbeaten 111 off 59 balls while veteran David Sales hit 59 as Northants came agonisingly close to a famous victory.
Elsewhere, Surrey beat Sussex by 100 runs at Hove after the hosts were skittled out for 68.
Surrey made 168-6 with the in-form James Benning making 41.
Rana Naved (25) was the only batsman to reach double figures as the Sharks were undone by Chris Schofield who finished with 4-12.
Mal Loye smashed 89 to guide Lancashire to a 39-run win over Durham at the Riverside.
The opener whacked ten boundaries and two sixes as the visitors made 180-4 from their 20 overs.
In reply, Durham slumped to 141 all out thanks to Sri Lanka star Sanath Jayasuriya taking 4-24.
Nottinghamshire handed Yorkshire another defeat after a thrilling four-run victory at Trent Bridge.
Bilal Shafayat top-scored with 31 while in-form Samit Patel hit 25 as Notts posted 149-9.
Jacques Rudolph finished with 3-20 while veteran Darren Gough took 2-17 for the visitors.
Despite 55 from Anthony McGrath, Yorkshire reached 145-5 with Rudolph left stranded on 35 not out.
Matt Wood fired 88 as Somerset defeated Glamorgan by 28 runs at Taunton.
Wood put on a second-wicket partnership of 113 with Australian Cameron White (68) to set 202 for the loss of six wickets.
Kent defeated Essex by 42 runs at Chelmsford while Warwickshire are on course for the quarter finals after seeing off Gloucestershire by 27 runs at Bristol.
